CloserCV is a professional CV review service based in Stockholm, Sweden. We help international tech professionals present their experience in a way that aligns with Swedish hiring standards.

2. What data we collect
When you use our service, we may collect the following:
Information you provide directly:
- Your name and email address
- Your CV and any supporting documents you upload
- LinkedIn profile URL (if provided)
- Payment information (processed securely via our payment provider — we do not store card details)
- Any messages you send us via the contact form
Information collected automatically:
- Basic usage data (pages visited, time on site)
- Device type and browser (for improving the site)
- IP address (anonymised where possible)
We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

We do not sell your data. Ever.
We may share data with the following categories of third parties, only as necessary:
- Payment processors (e.g. Stripe) — to handle transactions securely
- Email service providers — to deliver order confirmations and communications
- Hosting providers — our site and data are hosted within the EU
All third parties we work with are required to handle your data in compliance with GDPR.
5. How long we keep your data
- CV and order documents: deleted within 90 days of order completion, unless you request earlier deletion
- Email correspondence: kept for up to 12 months
- Payment records: kept for 7 years as required by Swedish accounting law

You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate data
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict how we process your data
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Your CV documents are accessed only by the reviewer assigned to your order and are not shared internally beyond what is necessary.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
